Privacy policy
ICSE PYQ is an independent study resource for ICSE students. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Sign-in email. If you create an account, we store your email address and a record of when you signed in.
- One-time codes. We generate a short-lived code to verify your email. Codes expire after ten minutes and are stored hashed.
- Answer choices. If you are signed in, we store the option you select on a question and the page where you selected it, so your practice can be understood across sessions.
- Technical logs. Our hosting and API providers may process standard request logs such as IP address, browser type and requested URL for security and reliability.
Cookies and local storage
We use an essential, HTTP-only session cookie so you stay signed in. We also use browser local storage for your theme preference and your privacy choice. We do not use advertising cookies.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. It is cookieless and does not build an advertising profile or track you across other sites. We do not load third-party advertising or session-replay scripts. If optional analytics such as GA4, Clarity or PostHog are enabled later, they will load only after you choose “Allow optional” in the privacy banner. You can change that choice by clearing this site's local storage and reloading the page.
How we use data
- To send your sign-in code and keep you signed in.
- To understand which subjects and papers are useful, and to fix broken pages.
- To protect the service from abuse, spam and automated requests.
We do not sell personal data. We do not show third-party ads.
Sharing
We use service providers for hosting, database, email delivery and security. They process data on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention
Account records and answer choices are kept while your account is active. One-time codes expire automatically. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account data by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder.
Students
ICSE PYQ is intended for school students and their families. If you are under 13, please use the site with a parent or guardian.
