What is the reason for Hyperopia? How can it be corrected?
Show SolutionHide Solution↓
Hyperopia or hypermetropia is caused either by the shortening of the eyeball from front to back or by the lens becoming too flat. As a result, the image of nearby objects is formed behind the retina and near vision becomes blurred.
It is corrected by using spectacles with convex (biconvex) lenses.
